CENTENARY WEEKEND IN JUNEWe marked the completion of our first hundred years with a weekend celebration incorporating our annual Dick Mayo Sprint. This was especially appropriate given our association with Castle Combe Circuit, which we opened to motor racing in 1950. This featured a display, static and on-track, of historic competition and other vehicles covering all the years since the club was founded. Not forgetting our origins as a motorcycle club, there were two-wheeled displays as well as the cars. In addition, we invited members past and present, and friends of Bristol Motor Club to join us for this special occasion. On Sunday we welcomed Rob Jones, General Secretary of the Motor Sports Association, who presented the club with the MSA's prestigious Centenary Award.
