We've had to say farewell to the old airfield at Weston that has been our AutoSolo home for the past few years. Uncertainty over its availability and concern about the crumbling surface made the decision to move inevitable. Fortunately, the new members of the team at Castle Combe Circuit were receptive to our approach and have made a large area within the paddock available to us. The circuit itself will be in use for a track day, so the paddock catering facilities will be open, and of course there are permanent toilets. Although we will miss the wide-open space of Weston, the tarmac is smooth and well-drained, and it won't be so windy, so overall it's a positive move. But take careful note of the date - we've had to move forward a couple of weeks to Saturday 19 February.
