Castle Combe Circuit

22 March 2014

Bristol Motor Club is pleased to invite competitors to The Williams Automobiles Great Western Sprint, the longest Sprint course in the country.

We are again delighted to have the support of our local motorsport specialist, Williams Automobiles. You will be able to talk to them in the paddock about maintaining, race preparing and tuning your specialist car. For more information please visit their website www.williamsautomobiles.com

The sprint course will be 1 laps of the racing circuit. The start is at the pit lane exit, the finish at Westway on the second lap. Exit from the course is via the pit lane slip road into the paddock. See the map below.

The event is now closed to further entries, and the Entry List is available for download below. It will shortly be emailed to competitors, together with Final Instructions, which will also be available on this page.

Practice runs will be taken in order from class A1 to E4 but timed runs will start with class C1 running through to E4, then class A1 through to B3. This is to enable the event to be completed within the time available.

We still don't have enough marshals to run the event safely so to we'd be very pleased to hear from anyone who'd like to help.  Please see below.

If you are not competing, please consider helping us to run the event by volunteering to marshal. You don't have to be a member of the Bristol MC Marshals' Club, but if you would like more information or to join please click here.

Even if you are competing perhaps you have a friend, family member or neighbour who might like to come along and be a marshal. No experience is necessary, and we generally need as many volunteers as we can get! You get a ringside view of the action, a free hot lunch, an entry in the marshals' prize draw, and an opportunity to socialise with your friends and wander amongst the cars and drivers in the paddock.

For more information, please email Chief Marshal Mike Cole or telephone him on 07980 416075 and let him know you are willing to help.
